What the hell happened to Hennies George????We used to be regulars—FIVE breakfasts a week at Hennies! It was our… go-to spot, but now? Total disaster. New owners took over, and it’s like the soul of the place got sucked out overnight. The atmosphere? Cold, stiff, and completely unwelcoming. It practically screams that the staff is unhappy—gone are the smiles and the top-notch service we were used to.Where’s the management? Seriously, it’s like the operations and general managers vanished into thin air. Compared to other Hennies branches we frequent (which are still amazing), this place is a glaring black mark on the brand.If something doesn’t change ASAP, this spot will be sold at auction for pennies on the dollar. You can’t run a successful restaurant if your staff and vibe are this low.Come on, Hennies George—look after your team, bring back the warmth, and you’ll bring back the customers!read more
I’ve never been so impressed with the service! The George staff, especially naming Bonita, Peddy and Leeroy personally,… they’ve been top of their game! Always helping out with a smile and a positive attitude! Give them and raise! Not just our table, but the whole smoking area was vibing breasted of their wholesome and beautiful manner of handling matter. Thanks so much for the lekker vibes!read more
We loved the laid-back atmosphere and the generous portions of classic comfort food. The burgers were juicy and… perfectly cooked, and the fries were crispy and addictive. My wife recognize the kitchen manager from oceanbasket head office, she immediately felt comfortable ordering food.Our food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our waiter Margeret was very attentive and made excellent recommendations, The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening out, and we can’t wait to come back! Without a doubt, the best sports bar in George. Brilliant fun menu. Exellent food, service, and venue all round.
Arrived at a full Hennie’s. Managers have earpieces for swift communication, and an opening table was quickly reserved… for us. We had our 1 year old with us. The staff went the extra mile to help us create a comfy corner for our little one to play around safely. They brought some toys from the kids play area. All to make our visit as pleasant as possible. And it was! All smiles and great service all the way. Nice one to this specific Hennie’s. Thank you for accommodating our busy little one.read more

First visit to a Hennies, and it couldn’t have been any better. We all had the Eisbein special, and I enjoyed a brandy… special with that. Crispy, juicy, and delicious, both specials 😁The four of us, with a Hennie included, were visiting George for a bowls tournament, and this was our Sunday dinner. We had loads of fun and enjoyed the “rules of engagement.” One of us almost got a red card for drinking with the wrong hand.A great concept that I hear is coming to Somerset West as well! I can’t wait!If you’re in the vicinity of a Hennies, do yourself, lived ones, and friends a favour – pop in for a drink and a bite!read more
