Excellent service and atmosphere, food was great but as I am a Chef suggest waiter requesting temperature of the burger because my burger was very dry.
Truly disappointed on how they handled a regular paying customer. He was chased away because of an ACCIDENT. He paid his dues immediately without question but still had to leave which escalated into 3 tables leaving as well. That situation could have been handled much better. Management lacks basic courtesy and decency, inhumane. Also we used to eat Cheesy Chips ALL the time. And recently we’ve been told they hand cut the chips. So we received raw chips twice.So disappointing! They just keep on breaking their own rule #1.

We are a family of 4. 3 of us smoke and wanted to sit outside where we can smoke but because my sister is 17 she is not allowed to sit in the smokers area. So now she cant sit with us and we cant sit inside and smoke. Pathetic, get your priorities straight people. Its not a family restaurant for nothing, if you want to split up familys become a divorse lawyer.
First time I visited it. It was a pleasant experience, it is very clean and the whole restaurant feels new, stylish and welcoming. Waiter surprised me by being fluent in Afrikaans, gave me excellent service while not being bothersome. The food was flavoursome and attractive, and the coffee strong like I like it. I feel like it was more a personalized experience than you would find in the opposition chain restaurants in the other malls in Polokwane.I was there in the morning around 12:00 in the week (and it was raining), so it was nice and quiet.I am just confused by the bill, because I added a tip on top of the total and afterwards noticed that there was a service fee already included in the bill. Is this meant for the tip? Or is it for something else? This unexpected cost makes me hesitant to visit again, I don’t like to be surprised with the cost.
Was reluctant to go (place looks very afrikaans). Am glad I went, lekker vibe, had so much fun. The service is great. Was there for quiz night and will definitely be back on the regular. I really don’t remember the last time I got such great service around Polokwane. Whooof Whooof, remember to drink with your left hand and don’t be d**s 😂
Our waitress was incredibly friendly and professional. The food was good. It was a quick pit stop, nonetheless we left feeling well fed and taken care of.
I’m very disappointed. I always eat here and I never had a problem here but this one night the waiter asked my daughter if she is 18 she was under pressure and said no because they have never asked her before. The waiter then took my daughter outside to the no smoking area because she is not allowed in the smoking area if she is not 18. As a parent i’m very disappointed because my daughter didn’t want to drink she just wanted to sit with us because we smoke. We had to sit in the no smoking area that night, all of our friends had to go to the parking area to smoke because we weren’t allowed to smoke there. Just to inform you, my daughter is 17 and I feel as a parent, if I give permission for my daughter to sit there she can because I am her mom. The waiter also broke rule number one!!!!!She was really mean to my daughter about the fact that she isn’t 18 and she got most of our order wrong and when we helped her she was very rude to us.

When you travelled 600km and stop to have lunch and still have to go 300km and you get told that house rules are to drink with one hand and and and. Not everyone wants to join a party mood everyday. Respect the fact that we choose to support you but wants to have peace. If you tell a Waiter you want peace but keeps on and on about the rules then we will rather support the next place as we feel uncomfortable to even come back.
Thank you for opening Hennies in Polokwane. Spur has lost us, Nguni grill has lost us and others. We were like lost dogs looking for the place we can call ours. We found it at Hennies!!!! Donald our waiter is excellent. Donald is our Woef Woef.🥳🥳

We went to eat at Hennies for Mother’s day, and me and my family had an amazing experience. The service and food was spectacular, and Nigel our waiter was the absolute best😁
Ordered chicken schnitzel- daily special. Was so bland, tried spicing with array of condiments, but no better! The mushroom sauce was awful, think came straight out of a bottle!
Pizza came out ice cold pre-cooked. Had to go and order drinks, seeing that waiter was too busy. Wednesday special was not available for some or other reason.
Some staff members were extremely rude. I understand there are people cleaning, but it doesn’t kill you to ask politely for a glass… Gosh! Also, we just asked one staff member at the time of which Hennies closed and made small talk to ask his name, of which he sarcasticly answered us. I seriously don’t know about this place, if the staff is already rude on the first day….. All I can say is, good luck to the business because your staff members will make or break your place and in this case it’s not good…..
